Meet Derek and Shea

We are a young married couple (Derek 27 and Shea 25) who live and work in Margate, South Africa. Our time in South Africa has been a journey that has proved to be one of literally following God to wherever that leads us. Our passion has always been to work alongside leaders and empower them, so that when we leave, those leaders can carry the vision that God has given them. We have a strong sense of urgency to disciple people in such a way that they can disciple others who can disciple others. For us, South Africa has been the beginning of a journey that God has us on. We have been introduced to Church Planting Movements (CPM) on South African soil. It is really a way of stepping back, looking at the way Jesus did it when He walked the earth, and trying to imitate that. We believe that when people have a change of heart, worldview, and mind, that will in turn affect who they are, making the places that they choose to do life a better place to live in. Discipleship is a term that gets thrown around a lot, but we are after those who want to make a difference...those who want to disciple others...those who want to see change. We believe that a CPM can happen anywhere.
